Conquering Your Fibromyalgia Podcast
When I started this podcast—and the book that came before it—I had my patients in mind. In the exam room, time is limited. But the need for understanding complex, often misunderstood conditions like fibromyalgia is vast. That’s why I created this space: to offer deeper education, validation, and hope.
If you’ve been told that fibromyalgia "isn’t real'" or that it’s "all in your head," I want you to know: I see you. I believe you. And you're not alone. This podcast is here to affirm what you’ve lived through and to explain the science behind what you’re experiencing.
Whether you're living with fibromyalgia, supporting someone who is, or a healthcare professional seeking to better serve your patients, I hope you’ll find trusted, evidence-based insight drawn from my 28+ years as a medical doctor, pediatrician, internist, lifestyle medicine physician, and clinical lipidologist.
Together, let’s bring compassion and clarity to a condition that’s too often misunderstood—and help make the invisible, visible. You can learn more at www.conqueringyourfibromyalgia.com.

Hello Dr Lenz. I have ADHD was diagnosed in the early 90's at around 19 or 20, I am also wondering if I have late diagnosed high masking autism. My 17 year old son has had signs of autism for several years. We are trying to find help in our area but we are in rural northern NY and services are difficult to find. I also have struggled with chronic fatigue, migraines, IBS, restless leg syndrome, and I think fibromyalgia. I asked my dr about my potential autism she basically shut me down and told me I didn't have it. She said since I wasn't diagnosed as a child there was no way I had it. I have lost count of the number of drs I have been to over the last 25 years. Most have told me all my tests are normal so I must be fine, or sorry we can't help you...... I can't work more than 3 days a week.... Unless I am at home on our small farm, where I can rest when I need to.... but it doesn't not supply us with enough of an income..... so I work part time. But we struggle..... I have 5 children 14-24 all still at home most of the time. All are neurodivergent I'm pretty sure. I need help, for myself, for them, someone who can help us navigate these challenges. I have basically been trying my best to figure out how to treat myself..... with some success. I read a lot, and listen to as many podcasts as I can...... but would like to have some kind of better help. I really don't know where to turn Sincerely, Matt Shaul Williamstown, NY 13493
I am enjoying your episodes about Margaret Mitchell. I would love to know which biography you recommend. Several people in my family have CFS/ME, Lyme, and ADHD.
Hi Dr. Lenz, I enjoyed your Christmas special! Are you planning on doing any more episodes on ADHD in the future?
